Microsoft Student Associate Program

Hello Friends,

This is Dilip Verma from Lovely Professional University, Pursing BTech in Computer Science.

In this blog I Share my experience how Microsoft had an impact on my life and in the end I also mention what should be my duties as an MSA and how I would bring a change to the society.

The word MICROSOFT itself stands for innovation and for the ingenious technical thoughts hidden inside it!!

Microsoft has developed over the years and today it has become a brand of widely used software products in the world.

Today out of 10 PC 8 have Microsoft OS(Window XP,Window 7 or Window 8 ) install in it.This is because
of Microsoft Popularity. Everyone in his childhood has used MS Paint and has played Pin Ball which are most common application of Microsoft OS.

Microsoft Student Associates is a program for all the technology evangelists where Microsoft is looking for tech-enthusiasts, passionate, super-charged and social media homo-sapiens who can optimally manage to promote Microsoft technologies at their respective college campuses, or surroundings or practically, anywhere.Microsoft aims to bring in students the senses of leadership, quality marketing, learn new technology, at the same time to be innovative.

How has Microsoft impacted my life?

Microsoft had great impact on my Life.I can't imagine my life without it.
Microsoft Motto always inspire me "BE WHAT IS NEXT". Microsoft play a vital role in my life.My morning begins with Windows Phone and ends with it. Microsoft has made my life well organized and
simple.I don’t think I can even imagine those presentations that I had prepared in my school without a MS POWERPOINT, those articles  that I write for my blog without Window Live, those movies and videos I watch without MEDIA PLAYER. This list just goes on and on. But most important is that my laptop doesn’t open its eyes without windows.(because that’s the only OS installed.)

My laptop is totally filled with Microsoft Product. Window 8.1, Microsoft office collection, internet explorer, Visual Studio,Windows Live, Skype, Bing Desktop and many more apps. It just makes my life more comfortable with technology.

Microsoft has not just affected my life, but has affected the lives of everyone in this world who is using a computer. Everyone today knowingly or unknowingly is being benefited by Microsoft. Microsoft has worked to fuel the foundation of almost everything, I have learned.

I have also Participated in Windows App Fest conducted by Microsoft Last year. Programming is very important for me and i have learnt a bit about app development there and usage of visual studio and Windows phone Sdk.I have also done asp.net course. I have also develop 2 Apps which I have Published in Windows Store.
  1. Media_Player
  1. Simplecalcy

This is my Certificate of Participation.

How do I look to bring a change in the society, being a Microsoft Student Associate?

  • I will try to motivate the other students regarding any of the events conducted in our college by microsoft. Thus,I can strengthen my leadership skills.
  • I will try to create awareness among students about the recent trends.
  • Motivating the students to develop innovative apps and tools for betterment of society by using latest products from Microsoft will be one of my top priorities.
  • My ultimate aim is to bring Microsoft Enthusiasts forward and motivate them to do more with Microsoft, making them aware and spread information about Microsoft products in my campus and in other campuses as well.
“Power is gained by sharing knowledge and not by hoarding it. That’s like a miracle, the more we share, the more we induce.” This is something more that I have learned ever since.

To sum up, I’ll say, surroundings at my end are very suitable, impacts can be made, all we require is the spark. People at Microsoft there, owns that spark!
Thank you for taking out your time and hearing me out

Now signing in with more passion and energy,
Dilip Verma
